We have noticed that when we offer a credit card based free trial of our service, the vast majority of the cards that aren't able to be charged successfully at the end of the trial are prepaid credit cards. Even though we check for both CVC and zip matches with Stripe, these prepaid credit cards are able to pass those checks and get through.
In Stripe, it will list the type of card used as being 'credit', 'debit' or 'prepaid', so they are very easy to identify. After speaking with Stripe, it seems that one can block all transactions with 'prepaid' as the 'funding' parameter, but this would need to be done as an option within Membermouse.
Is there any way that you would be able to add the option to block prepaid transactions in Stripe? This would be a great feature, and would allow anyone offering a free trial to significantly reduce the number of people signing up with bad credit cards that won't bill.
