PCI Compliance - Braintree + Membermouse

Hi MM Community,

Has anyone set up their payments with Braintree ?

As part of the enrolment process, there’s a PCI self assessment offered thru SecurityMetrics.

One of the sections asks about payment processing.

For my membership site, I allow users to pay via CC.

The parent choices for the assessment are Terminal, Computer, and eCommerce.

I chose eCommerce.

The child choices are:

I accept payments through my own website My website uses Direct Post/Transparent Re-Direct. I accept payments using an I-Frame from a 3rd party source I accept payments through a 3rd Party Store (Amazon, Etsy, etc.) I accept payments through a 3rd Party Link (Paypal Button, etc.) I accept payments through a 3rd Party Re-Direct (Payment page on another website e.g. authorize.net, sagepay.co.uk, etc.)

What option(s) have others chosen in the past?

I know that I “accept” payments through my site – but how I’m not sure if MM + Braintree uses Direct Post, iFrame, Re-Direct, 3rd Party….etc.

Any tips?

really?  no one has encountered this?

Answer

Hi Austin,

I believe that the correct choice would be "I accept payments through my own website My website uses Direct Post/Transparent Re-Direct"

Since the BrainTree integration is configured on your site using a merchant id with public and private keys.

thanks Ed.
