The first step in using the groups extension is defining the types of groups that can be created. This consists of the following:

  1. Specifying the membership level in MemberMouse that results in a new group being created when it's purchased. Customers who purchase this membership level will be made the group leader.

  2. Specifying the membership level in MemberMouse that customers will be assigned when they join this type of group.

  3. Setting the maximum number of members that should be allowed to join groups of this type.

Follow the steps below to define a group type:

  1. Click the MM Groups menu and then click on the Define Group Types tab.

  2. Click the  button.

Note: after creating a group type you may edit it at any time by clicking the  icon on the appropriate row in the group types table.

  3. A dialog box will pop up containing all of the options available for defining a group. To learn about each option, consult the Group Type Options table below.

  4. After configuring the group, click the  button to save your settings.
