You may want to only show discount information when a coupon has been applied to an order. If you want to dynamically display discount information just use the following on a checkout page or confirmation page:


[MM_Order_Decision isDiscounted='true']
Discount: [MM_Form_Data name='discount']
[/MM_Order_Decision]

If you need to include the discount check within another [MM_Order_Decision] SmartTag, use the [MM_Order_Subdecision] SmartTag as follows:


[MM_Order_Decision isFree='true']
[MM_Order_Subdecision isDiscounted='true']
Discount: [MM_Form_Data name='discount']
[/MM_Order_Subdecision]

...
[/MM_Order_Decision]

IMPORTANT: The isDiscounted attribute is only supported in SmartTags 2.1 or above. Read this article to learn how to set your SmartTag version.


The result is that when a customer adds or removes a coupon from the checkout page the content within the [MM_Order_Decision] SmartTag will automatically be shown or hidden. On confirmation pages, the content within the [MM_Order_Decision] SmartTag will automatically be shown or hidden based on if a coupon was applied to the order.
