core page content deleted-not page itself

Hi, uh, total newby here.  I 'think' the text inside my core home page has been accidentally deleted.  This is all that is on the page:

Welcome [MM_Member_Data name='firstName']!
This is the member home page for [MM_Member_Data name='membershipName'] members.

I 'think' there's supposed to be more, the place to update address, phone, email, etc etc.

I tried General Settings > Manage Install > Repair Core Pages, no luck.  The page is not deleted, just the content.  At least that appears to be the case.

Can I delete the existing page and then try General Settings > Manage Install > Repair Core Pages?  Not even going to try that until someone says it's ok.

Or can someone show me where I can find/access that page so I can copy/paste it back or perhaps clarify my mistake?

Many thanks!!

Hi Butch!

We were all MemberMouse newbies at some point! Rest assured, we are always happy to help when we can :)

Your Member Home Core Page is actually exactly as intended. That is meant to serve as a "placeholder" for you to fill in content there specific to the members able to view that page. You can read more about the Home Page here:  https://support.membermouse.com/support/solutions/articles/9000020367-member-home-core-page

"I 'think' there's supposed to be more, the place to update address, phone, email, etc etc. "

There is a spot for this, but this information is found on the My Account Core Page. The My Account page is where your users will need to go to update their information. You can read more about that My Account Page here: https://support.membermouse.com/support/solutions/articles/9000020445-my-account-core-page

"Or can someone show me where I can find/access that page so I can copy/paste it back or perhaps clarify my mistake?"

If you ever lose the default content of a core page and would like to get it back, you can find the original code for using the following link: https://support.membermouse.com/support/solutions/folders/9000187001

As an added note, the following article is super helpful when just getting started with MemberMouse as well: https://support.membermouse.com/support/solutions/articles/9000100791-membermouse-glossary-of-core-features

I hope this is helpful! :)

Wishing you the best!

Hi Lonnie,

Thank you!  Yes, it was very helpful.  Got another question please, and thank you.  I'd like to add SMS capability using my membermouse list.  I've googled and searched the help but am finding very little, except maybe Joy Of Text.  That seems to be the only SMS platform I can find associated with/will work with membermouse.  Is that correct or are there other options?  Thank you again!

regards,

Butch

Hi Butch,

MemberMouse does not have any integrations with any sort of SMS plugins, so I am not sure if that would work for your needs or not. The best approach would be to test it out and see if it can fulfill your needs. Whichever plugin you decide to test out, if it accepts imports, you can easily import your customer information into that plugin after you first gather it by Exporting the numbers using the MM Export functionality described here: https://support.membermouse.com/support/solutions/articles/9000020319-exporting-members

Beyond this, if you are familiar with API, you could get a custom integration setup using the MemberMouse API and the chosen SMS API. Here is the MemberMouse API information: https://support.membermouse.com/support/solutions/articles/9000020268-api-documentation

I hope this is helpful as well :)

Lonnie

Lonnie, thank you so much for your help and the prompt reply.  I am making progress getting this website up and running!
